Bec Pennington began studying with Dramatic Truth at the age of 15 as a beginner in ballet and modern techniques, with a minimal background in gymnastics, jazz and tap. She progressed quickly through the training program and was hired as a dancer with DT Ballet Theatre in 2002 and been teaching since 2001.
It was important to her and her parents that she receive quality instruction from a teacher who fears God and wishes to serve Him with the gifts He gives. She believes the experience she had with such a late start helps tremendously in the approach she has to teaching ballet and modern at the school today.
A wife and homeschooling mother of three, Bec also is the resident Costume Designer for Dramatic Truth’s school and company productions and runs a custom formalwear design business from her home. The balance of the schedule, the family-oriented values, and the tough discipline seasoned with grace and encouragement that is the atmosphere of Dramatic Truth has proven a good fit for Bec. It is the endeavor of her heart to follow the command in Colossians, “Whatever you are doing, let your hearts be in your work, as a thing done for the Lord and not for men.”, and to lead others in this path.
