Caitlin is thrilled to be a new company member at dramatic truth as well as a teacher in their school! In April of 2011, she graduated from Belhaven University with a BFA in dance. During her four years in college, she took ballet, modern and pointe classes daily as well as pas de deux, improv, jazz, classical variations, teaching methods ballet and modern, production I & II, dance history, and dance kinesiology. One of her favorite experiences at school was performing and ministering in the Belhaven Dance Ministry Ensemble for two and a half years. This group practiced and performed pieces at nursing homes, churches, schools and in Belhaven University performances. Before she went to college, Caitlin danced with the Highlands Ballet Company and school from kindergarten through high school; her favorite roles include the partnered role of the Chinese Lead in “The Nutcracker,” and the soloist fairy in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” She has attended five summer dance intensives including Ballet Magnificat and the Masterworks Dance Festival, as well attending the American College Dance Festival and performing in Project Dance NYC. In addition, throughout her senior year of high school she single-handedly organized and taught Dancing for God, a weekly dance ministry teaching mainly ballet while introducing elements of modern, jazz and improv, to teach 26 homeschooled girls how to use dance to glorify God. Upon graduating from college, she drove 14 hrs from her hometown, Abingdon, VA to audition for the company and is so excited to be joining Dramatic Truth as a new company member and teacher!
