Hemdah Salonimer-Horner earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and Music (Performance) from Graceland College in 1984.

She studied piano with Dr. O. Wayne Smith. In 1989 she earned her Master of Music in Piano Performance with emphasis in Piano Pedagogy from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, where she studied with John McIntyre.
Hemdah taught piano at Music Arts Institute in Independence, Missouri, from 1984 to 1990.
She has taught Suzuki Piano since 1985, and has been teaching in a studio in her own home since 1990.
Hemdah joined the Dramatic Truth School of the Arts in 2003. Her students have received “One” ratings at district and state contests. Hemdah received her Suzuki teacher training from Dr. Haruko Kataoka and Bruce Anderson through the Suzuki Association of the Americas.
