Kelly May

Kelly May began her dance training while competing in gymnastics on the national level.  In 1983, she was the number one all-around gymnast in the state of Kansas.  She continued her dance education at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and Wesley Institute in Sydney, Australia, where she received a BA in dance.

Kelly has performed in Starlight Theater’s production of “Hair,” in Liz Dimmel’s production, “Heal Our Land” on TV-50, and with aha! dance theatre.  She has also danced with several university companies and dance ministries.  She has toured Australia with the Wesley Institute dance department, performing works by Valerie Henry and Cynthia Newland.   Since 2004, she has been a member of the worship dance team at the International House of Prayer in Grandview, Missouri.

In addition, Kelly holds an Associates degree in  Sign Language Interpretation and has coordinated and taught dance at the Kansas School for the Deaf and Camp Sertoma, a children’s camp for the Deaf and Hard –of- Hearing.  With over 25 combined years of teaching experience in dance and gymnastics, Kelly enjoys seeing children express their love for Jesus through movement with all of their heart, soul, mind, and strength!
