Liz Dimmel was the principle dancer and choreographer of “David” for Bethlehem 2000 and Jerusalem 3000 in Israel, and danced with the 1994 and 1995 “Young Messiah Tour.”
Liz was the principal dancer for the Center City Ballet, performed two years with the Kansas City Ballet, and created the ballet curriculum for Mimeistry International College in Pasadena, CA. With 25 years of study from a wide variety of teachers (Ballet Rousse, Royal Winnipeg, Royal English Ballet), Liz is considered a national leader in Christian dance ministry and teaches in conferences across the country.
Liz began her ballet education under Tatiana Dokodovska at UMKC, and completed her studies with Jean and Ekhardt Heidrick, principal dancers with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet.
She began her professional career performing two years with the Kansas City Ballet, and later became a principal dancer with the Center City Ballet.
Since devoting her gifts to the Lord, Liz has created a number of original Christian ballets: The Mystery of Christmas, The Power and the Glory, A Call to Repentance, The Book of Ruth, Dethroning the Prince, and Thy Kingdom Come (performed live with recording artist Steve Fry).
Liz created the ballet curriculum for Mimeistry International College in Pasadena, California, and has worked to create a version of the Russian Vagonova syllabus for DT School of the Arts that is compatible with the American lifestyle.
She has also traveled extensively as a dancer, choreographer, teacher, and clinician covering much of the United States, Japan and Israel. She also spent two years dancing with the national “Young Messiah Tour” and appears in Ron Kenoley’s worship video “Sing Out.”
Liz, known for her “passionate pointe work”, compelling choreography, and encouraging teaching style of more than 20 years, is considered a national leader in Christian dance ministry bringing a message of hope and redemption to the nations through Dramatic Truth Ballet Theatre and teaching at conferences worldwide
