:: Modern, Jazz, and Ballet::

 

Sarah Roberts, a graduate of Dramatic Truth School of the Arts, has trained in ballet, Graham-based modern, Horton and jazz primarily under the tutelage of Liz Dimmel, Tobin James and Marc and Anne Wayne. Most recently, she attended the Martha Graham School for several periods of short term study.

Sarah is an alumni of Dramatic Truth Ballet Theater and Maxxas Dance Theater, and danced in several productions with Storling Dance Theater. She has traveled nationally and internationally to perform in such places as Japan, New York City, Los Angeles, Belize, Houston and Denver. Some of her roles have included “Holy Spirit” in The Mystery of Christmas, “Ruth” in the debut of DTBT’s The Book of Ruth, and “Helen” in Maxxas Dance Theater’s 3 Days.

As a choreographer, Sarah has created multiple works for DTBT, including “Were You There,” “Hymns,” and “Speechless.” Firstborn from the Dead is the second time Sarah has collaborated with another choreographer on a full length production, the first being Dethroning the Prince.

Sarah is currently the Director of Modern at Dramatic Truth School of the Arts and co-directs the Junior Company with her sister, Hannah Anderson. She is the happy wife of Nathan Roberts and mother to one son, Ethan.
