Musical Theatre: About

On With The Show!

Join our exciting Musical Theatre Program! This year-long journey is designed for young performers ages 8
to 16, welcoming both beginners and experienced young actors, who want to build serious skills and take
the stage. Students train weekly as "triple threats"—mastering acting, singing, and dancing to tell powerful stories on stage—while experiencing two distinctly different, exciting performance formats across the
school year.

Fall Musical Theatre Class:

The Fall Semester focuses on foundational technique, ensemble building, and performance confidence.
Students learn the fundamentals of character development, script reading & analysis, basic vocal techniques,
theatrical choreography, stage blocking, how to “act the song” during a performance, and much more! They
apply their new skills to select musical numbers and scenes culminating in an End-of-Semester Showcase
for family and friends, highlighting students’ growth and ensemble pieces.

Fall Tuition: Billed at Dramatic Truth tuition hourly rate for the entire semester.

Spring Musical Theatre Production:

The Spring Semester shifts entirely into rehearsal mode, putting theatre education into action. Students
experience the full process of staging a complete theatrical work, including auditions, casting, learning a full
script (dialogue & songs), memorizing blocking, and mastering backstage transitions culminating in a full 1
to 1½ -hour Musical Theatre Performance featuring costumes, sets, and lighting.

Spring Production Fee: Billed as one flat, lump-sum fee for the entire semester.

Important Fall & Spring Semester Notes:

Semester Commitment: Each semester requires separate registration. Participation in the Fall Showcase isnot required to join the Spring Production. However, because the Fall Semester focuses deeply on the coreacting, vocal, and dance skills used in the spring, students who attend both semesters will feel significantly more prepared for Spring auditions.

Spring Schedule & Flat Fee Notice: Because the Spring Semester operates like a real theatre company,
your student's weekly rehearsal schedule will fluctuate based on the scenes being directed that day. To keep
budgeting simple and fair for all families despite the varying weekly hours, spring tuition is billed as a
single, all-inclusive lump sum rather than an hourly rate.
